These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Shiplink ("Service"), operated by Shiplink ("we", "us", or "our") at shiplink.live. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Shiplink. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent's or guardian's permission to use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Shiplink is a URL shortening service that allows users to:
- Create short, shareable links from long URLs
- Generate QR codes for short links
- Track click analytics (registered users)
- Create custom alias short links (registered users)
- Manage links via a dashboard (registered users)
Guest users (no account) may shorten URLs without analytics tracking. Analytics and link management features require a free registered account.
3. User Accounts
When you register for an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your password and accept all risks of unauthorized access
- Promptly notify us at support@shiplink.live if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account
- Take full responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
We reserve the right to terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree to use Shiplink only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not use the Service to shorten, share, or redirect to URLs that:
- Distribute, promote, or link to malware, ransomware, spyware, viruses, or other malicious software
- Facilitate phishing attacks, social engineering, or credential harvesting
- Contain or promote illegal content, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
- Promote violence, terrorism, or hate speech against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability
- Infringe upon any third party's intellectual property rights, including copyrights and trademarks
- Engage in spam, unsolicited advertising, or bulk link distribution
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Circumvent or attempt to bypass our abuse-detection or safety checks
- Violate the privacy of any third party, including through harvesting personal information
- Conduct automated scraping, crawling, or bot activity without our prior written consent
We use automated checks for risk signals in submitted URLs. Links found to violate this policy may be deactivated, and associated accounts may be suspended or terminated.
5. Content Moderation & Link Removal
We reserve the right to remove or deactivate any shortened link at any time and for any reason, including links that violate our Acceptable Use Policy or that we, in our sole discretion, deem harmful, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate. Users may report malicious links using our reporting form.
6. Intellectual Property
The Shiplink name, logo, website design, and all associated software are the property of Shiplink and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service or its underlying code without our written permission.
7. Advertising
Shiplink displays advertisements served by Google AdSense and potentially other third-party advertising networks. These ads help us provide the Service free of charge. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that advertisements may be displayed. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements.
8. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices.
9. Third-Party Links & Services
Our Service facilitates redirection to third-party websites. Shiplink is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party sites reached via our short links. Users click shortened links at their own risk. We recommend verifying the destination of unfamiliar short links before clicking.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
WHILE WE USE AUTOMATED SAFETY CHECKS, WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT ALL MALICIOUS LINKS WILL BE DETECTED. USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SHIPLINK BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
- Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service
- Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
- Any content obtained from the Service
- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Shiplink and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any copyright, property, or privacy right; or (d) any claim that your User Content caused damage to a third party.
13. DMCA / Copyright
If you believe that content accessible through our Service infringes your copyright, please send a notice to support@shiplink.live with the subject line "DMCA Notice" including: (a) identification of the copyrighted work; (b) identification of the infringing material and its location on our Service; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement of good faith belief; and (e) a statement of accuracy and authorization.
14. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts located in our jurisdiction for the resolution of any disputes.
